The solution for traceability of waste: Traceparent

Being a technology company, we have the opportunity to create innovative products that surprise society and improve their quality of life and that of their environment. For this reason, within Teralco Group, we created the unit Teralco Lab, dedicated to research, product development and innovation and sustainable services that add value to society.

In addition, we are open to collaborating with anyone who wants to participate in the initiatives and who have a similar philosophy. On this occasion, we have worked together with Innuba, a strategic design consultancy in social innovation that helps to introduce sustainability and positive impact in the business of companies.

And you will ask yourself, what challenge have we faced this time?

Well, neither more nor less than to create a waste management traceability platform through Blockchain technology. We have called this project Traceparent.

It all started with the approval of the food law to reduce the loss of food on sale, establishing measures to minimize it and allocating it to other uses.

This situation facilitated its launch, since the fight to combat waste affects us all, but after this law the pace of change has accelerated. Traceparent, makes the positive impact visible by reflecting the traceability of the resource or waste. How?

  • Transparently visualizes the life cycle of resources.
  • Connect agents to complete full lifecycle insights.
  • It shows its positive impact (carbon footprint...), to continue generating it and promoting good practice in the sector.

And this is not all, what really makes it stand out is:

  • Its management and conscious decision-making, since it knows what outlet we are giving to waste.
  • It ensures an extended value proposition, guaranteeing the client and the public administration how we manage waste.
  • The transparency it provides, something that currently has a higher value than any certification.
  • The impact generated in management, of interest for sustainability reports and to inform stakeholders.
  • Knowing and tracing what is happening with food remains.

Yes, we strongly support a more sustainable future and we provide the tools at our disposal to transform it.
